Jim Hart
Jim Hart, Jail Management Consultant, began his career in corrections in 1975 while serving in the U.S. Marine Corps. His 22-year career was spent working in five different Marine Corps correctional facilities, operating a correctional custody (boot camp program for minor offenders), and as the director of Marine Corps Corrections. Upon his retirement in 1997, Jim became jail captain for Hamilton County, where he was responsible for day-to-day operations. Later, he was promoted to chief of corrections responsible for the overall operation of the jail. He is a Certified Jail Manager with the AJA and a Certified Corrections Executive with the ACA. He holds a bachelor of science degree in criminal justice from Park College.
